Inspiration
Brigitte Wawoe, born in Germany in 1939, has lived in Curacao from 1967 to 1978. During that time she not only formed a special bond with the island, but also with the mine. In a special studio in the quarry Brigitte creates stone sculptures surrounding by the beauty and inspiration of this very unique workspace. To this day Brigitte still travels annually to Curacao to work in her quarry studio and to exhibit her pieces.
